Plant Care

Plant Care

Green and flowering plants a great enrichment to your home or office decor, plants are also favorable to your overall health. The outcome of a study by NASA shows that common green and flowering plants are potent, natural air cleaners - all the more reason why you want to keep your green and flowering plants healthy with the proper plant care.

Green and flowering plants come with care instructions specified for the type of house plant. Blue Moon Florist provides these supplementary general guidelines to keep most green and flowering houseplants thriving:

•Keep green and flowering plants in medium-light locations - out of direct sunlight
•Natural light is best for most house plants, but some green and flowering plants can also thrive in office fluorescent light. Most flowering plants should be placed in areas with the most light in order to maintain good flowering color and promote the highest number of plant flowers to open. Foliage green plants will do well under lower light levels and can be placed in areas providing reduced light.
•All green and flowering plant soil should be kept moist at all times.
•All green and flowering plants should not be allowed to dry out or wilt. Be careful to avoid overwatering - do not allow any green or flowering plants to stand in water for a long period of time.
•Avoid wetting green and flowering plant leaves. Attempt to water the plant directly in the plant soil if possible.
•Avoid your plants from excessive heat or cold temperatures.
•All green and flowering plants should be kept in a cool space (between 65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit) for best performance for the plant. The plants should be kept away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, directly under ceiling fans, or on top of televisions or radiators.
